I received the SAME canned response to my email that I sent to Intuit Exeuctives / President / Michelle.
When I opened up my Turbotax software this morning (Feb 18), yes the program DID have an update for California, which I installed. BUT even after installing the update, my California state return did NOT have me do any corrections. It just STILL SAYS PENDING ! This is ridiculous !!

Same exact thing here. Updated, no corrections and return still shows pending.
As I said on another thread here, when I opened up my Turbotax software this morning (Feb 18), yes the program DID have an update for California which I installed the update (I have the CD version of the program). BUT even after installing the update, my California state return did NOT ask me to make any corrections. It just STILL SAYS PENDING ! I also AGAIN called the Calif Franchise Tax Board (waited over an hour) for them to tell me they don't have my return. All they could tell me is to contact Turbotax !
California accepted my new return 50 minutes after resubmitting on TurboTax. I was using the online version as opposed to desktop but it looks like some of them are being sorted!

As some of you know I received the same generic response from Jeremy.
That did not sit well with me so I sent a response and included the CEO and VP again.
This time the response was for more personal and not a canned message.
Here is what I can tell all of you in the same boat as myself.
Turbotax is working on proper instructions and will have something to us by the end of the week. Now not everyone will have the same response as there is a million different things which can be wrong but they are working on it and we just have to be patient.
Did they take accountability and apologize, No, and I made it clear to them the lack of clear communication was a big problem. But rest assured they are well aware of it and have a mitigation plan in place.

Another problem is that users posting to different threads on this issue are missing your important update. So those people aren't getting your updated information, sadly.

Well, I'm posting and copying this thread to those other posts so they are following the best thread with the latest information.
I must have been one of the few people that slipped through the cracks, CA rejected my TT state filing because TT forgot that we needed to list what county we were in on the form, since that is a required line the CA state tax system rejected it, they rejected in on the 13th, I sent it again on the 13th this time with the corrected line and CA accepted it the same day, they started processing my return on the 15th. Still waiting on the processing, calling to make sure that TT didn't do any other flubs I have to worry about. FYI turbo tax people, I think it would have been a wee bit faster for people if you let it get rejected and then they just did the one little line they needed to do on the form, instead of withholding the whole thing. Unless you are going to tell me you messed up even more, in which case, I expect you to pay for the services of my filing with you this year.
Ours was never "Rejected". "Rejected" means that it DID make to the California FTB and Calif rejected it. Ours was (and still remains) as Pending (meaning it NEVER left Turbotax servers). This is the fix we are all waiting on, hundreds of California users are in Pending status still.
Yes when I spoke to CA tax service they said I was one of the lucky CA TT people to get through, TT has informed them that they are holding all CA returns until the error fix is done, each person is probably going to have to resend the form after making adjustments, which for most (if not all) seems to be the missing county.
Interesting, as I logged on the other night and clicked on state. It asked for my county, which I entered, then everything looked good, not other issues found.
and today’s it’s still pending.
